365 Days

The unexpected snuck up on us, and now here we are, 5,492 miles apart on our 1st anniversary. People might say it's a small price to pay for our upcoming adventure together, but I would kindly ask those people to keep their well intentioned commentary to themselves. Because it's no fun.

But that is all beside the point. The moral of the story is that it's finally happening! And the "growing pains" of getting the wheels moving are just more signs that we are really doing this! The journey is beginning!

I am in Abuja, Nigeria at the moment working on a TV show called Turning Point, while Emily is finishing packing up our house and getting everything ready before we meet in Paris in less than a week!

My experience here has been good but not without it's challenges of course. We've had quite a few long workdays, I got sick from the food (still not out of the woods yet) and some of the longest and most difficult travel/airport experiences I've ever had. But it's all more than worth it, and I am privileged to be able to be here and meet some incredible people and help those people share their inspirational stories with the world.
